Toledo

When have heard so many things about the town of Toledo that we were excited to finally see it for ourselves. Navigating the city is very TRICKY, but the wandering is part of what makes it a charming place to visit. The streets are super narrow and very steep, making it hard for driving. We were never quite sure if we were walking on the sidewalk or street, but would yell CAR! as soon as one whizzed in our direction. The main attractions include the Cathedral, the Alcazar (which was closed inside but we got pics outside), Juderia, and many interesting plazas & tapas restaurants. There were many terraces with flower pots and open doors with flowing curtains. It was like we fell back in time.

We were also able to see our first processions for Semana Santa (Holy Week) which were a sight. I'll be posting those photos/videos in seperate post later. Enjoy the pics! More to be posted on Picasa when we return.
