Madrid

Our time in Madrid has been wonderful! We've seen and done some great things and getting to know the Spanish people has been fun, too. Here are some of the highlights of our time here! Luckily, we'll be coming back next Tuesday as we wrap up our tour of Spain.

-The plazas here are beautiful and once the day is in full swing, they fill with people, musicians, and artists alike. We're staying at a hotel that is steps way from the Plaza Mayor which is full of life! There is even a Ben & Jerry's whose server arrived from Cuba just 10 years ago. Wow!

-The Palacio Real was very elaborate and made us all wonder what it would have been like to be king!

-The Atletico de Madrid football game! Mike and I joined 59,998 loud and boisterous fans at the Vincente Calderon stadium here. The best part is that instead of getting very quiet when their team started losing, the fans started singing songs that basically said, you stink and do not deserve to wear the jersey, go home! Quite an experience.

More to come later! Hope all is well for everyone :)
