When planning this trip we purposely put Seville at the end so that we would be able to experience the end of Semana Santa there. Rewinding just a bit, on the way to Seville we decided to stop off in Jerez de la Frontera which is known for their sherry bodegas. We had a very interesting tour of the bodega and learned a lot about the process and the product. We sampled some tasty beverages and enjoyed some tapas while we were at it. The tour dumps you off in the gift shop, and let's just say- we hope our luggage isn't raided tomorrow!?
Once the fam arrived in Seville, we were greeted by our favorite of the 6 hotels we've stayed in this trip, Hotel Amadeus. Seville is filled with winding streets, terraces with flowers, cafes, plazas and so many other things to explore that Mike and I both agree we'd love to return someday. Although we saw most of the "major" things, Seville is a city that one can absorb again and again. Last night we reserved seats for a flamenco show that was put on in a patio setting, off the beaten path (no touristy places for us!) The guitar, singing, and dancing had all 4 of us captivated. We wanted to take video, but none was allowed :(
