We were so excited to get to the ship, that we arrived SUPER early (around 10:30 to be exact). You can imagine our surprise when we stepped out of the taxi and found out that we could check our bags and begin the boarding process. It was so very easy and I cannot believe how efficient NCL was! I can think of a few organizations that could learn a thing or two from the process :)
Once we got our room key cards it was only a matter of minutes before we were called to board the beautiful Pearl. We smiled through the cheesy boarding photo (one of many throughout the week) and then excitedly begin exploring the ship. Fairly new, colorful, and easy to navigate were our first impressions.
Lunch was served in the Summer Palace main dining room and since most passengers thought that only the buffet line was open, we had prime seating next to the window overlooking downtown Seattle. We made specialty dinner reservations and explored the ship some more, including the spa where I purchased a weeklong pass to access some private features. At about 1:00 we were allowed into our staterooms and spent the remainder of the time leading up to embarkment on our balconies. Sweet!
